The humpback whale is no longer threatened with extinction, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Meanwhile, the blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus), fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) and sei whale (Balaenoptera borealis) all remain listed as Endangered. Many dolphin species are also in danger of extinction. Read more here.
